You know the feeling of being the #1 p4p fighter and being the only champion of a division in UFC history, then being knocked out in 13 seconds by possibly the hardest hitter in division history that trashed you and your country for 18 months, on TV in possibly the biggest fight in MMA history.

Ya, you know the feeling.

I mean hey I was QB of my varsity team in highschool and threw an interception that lost us a game once, I guess I know how Russell Wilson felt after last years super bowl Huh? Lol, sure on some slight level we know how those things feel but it's not even comparable.

You really think the emotions he is feeling are just as simple as "I lost a fight"..??

me, you, or anyone you know will never be at that level of competition
would it make you feel better if I say "I can relate" instead of "I know the feeling"?
does that grab your little pecker better?
this forum needs to be restricted for people who actually train... you new fans are ridiculous

You and people like you are the reason I avoid this sub forum.. Baseless assumptions about me being a new fan or whether or not I train (I do).
No you can't relate, nor will you ever be able to.

I wasn't even being hostile either..

ive lost in big moments in various sports or non sports competition. you can't relate, i can't relate. maybe a handful of people alive today can truly relate.

This is not an attack against you, and I know you were saying it more as a figure of speech than anything.

one could argue the amount of pain someone feels in failure is determined by how much they emotionally invested in their attempt at success, not the magnitude of the event. Or it can be how drastically their life changed in that moment. Anyone who's poured their heart into something and failed could probably relate to how he felt. How many times have you guys seen someone stressing and crying over something and you're just sitting there thinking "calm down its not that big of a deal." But to them its the end of the fuckin world cus they were so emotionally invested.

and the fact that so many people saw him fail sucks but a nobody could feel the same emotional sense of humiliation. Its all relative to the amount of attention they received to begin with. If a nobody thought EVERYONE who knew them thought they were a bitch all of a sudden they'd = crushed. Like those videos of people giving hobos/waitresses $100 and they just break down crying. to most ppl $100 is cool but w/e, and these people act like mcgregor himself just blessed tem with his presence. But it's relative to that person's wealth (or lack thereof) so it becomes a big fckin deal.

also calm down ppl aldo will be fine. This dude is loaded and is still a top p4p fighter. every single fight we watched the last couple days had a loser. someone who realized they aren't going to be big enough to get big fights and title opportunities like aldo will and they're dreams got crushed and they're humiliated because everyone they know saw them fail. Not to mention there's people out there in the world with real fuckin big problems to deal with that feel way worse than aldo does right now. If people in the spot light were the only ones who could feel devastation then suicide would not be a thing.
