It's impssible to definitively say whether he was close to winning or not. I mean how do you accurtely weigh something like that? Just because one fighter has another fighter in a submission attempt that doesn't mean he was close to beating him.

def room for argument, but he had position and it was locked in tight, so I would consider it a close to fight ending submission until nate got his head out.
