a 6ft guy that is 170 would be around the same size as a 6"1 dude that is 175 or so. You can obviously get people that weigh less and look bigger, but generally speaking my point makes perfect logical sense, and you're a bit dim for not getting it sooner

Weight is weight, there's a reason there are weight classes in any combat sport lol... that's like saying a featherweight who is 5' 3" 145 lbs would be evenly matched vs a lhw that is 6' 4" 205.

and do you think reach doesn't have any effect in a fight lol? Have you ever grappled vs anybody who is tall and really lanky? it's a completely different game than grappling/wrestling with someone who is short and stocky

Dude this isn't a body building contest.

Conor is taller and weighs more. Idk what you're getting at. The weight and extra leverage help a ton in clinches, trying to snap off punches at the end, etc.

He's probably never done any form of martial art

He's a hnf section troll so he feels he knows anything when it comes to fighting based on size

You can't have a credible opinion on a sport if you haven't participated in it?

Fighting style wasn't in the realm of what we were discussing regarding size. If you were relating combat styles to that, then fair enough because I wasn't Nor was I equating size with matchmaking potential, of course a huge guy that is proportional in the above scale to a small guy wouldn't be fair.

My point was simply this: size wise there isn't a huge difference between McGregor and Aldo, in my opinion

Addressing your comment about credible opinion- Its not that you can't have a credible opinion on it, it's just the opinion of someone who is a martial artist will be far more valued (and accurate in most cases) then that of someone who has never trained or participated in tournaments.

It's pretty much the same with everything in life. Plenty of people go to school for construction (for example) but until they are in the field and working there study isn't as good as experience
