Mixed full contact and light contact doesn't sound like european kickboxing to me.
Also, its not wether they knee or kick uncontrollably. The guys in the video are professional fighters, you may expect from them they are controlled in their technieks.
What matters is the intensety of the fight, the guys in the background are obviously impressed and thats mikes gym, they should be used to high level sparring.
This was not normal everyday sparring.
