I Bet you never trained at a competative level of kickboxing
had ~10 amateur fights, mixed full and light contact
won most of my full contact bouts and lost most of my light contact fights by points
my best "achievement" was winning a full contact muay thai tourney (chikara international berlin open 2006) with three fights in 2 hours
so you are right, i never trained professionally, all my fights were amateur bouts.
e/ and so was my training. i trained 3, sometimes 4 time a week for 2 - 2.5 hours
BUT the people i trained with and the people at my gym are partly professional fighters. so every training i've seen top level training from these guys and when it was time for a sparring session they were ready.
as i said, those were some tough shots, but isn't that part of normal sparring?
btw those shots would knock my ass off in my current condition! a hard right hook @00:19 and again @00:36
i am not trying to brag here by saying this is soft sparring because it isn't. tough shots, but normal for a competitive sparring session IN MY OPINION
peace
