Ufc hell bent on keeping Jones as hw champ and safe by fighting Stipe. Imo it isn't the right time for Pereira to move up yet... He should defend vs Ankalaev and then see what the hw division looks like. Fighting Aspinall for an interim is too much risk vs reward.

Read now that he broke some toe 2 weeks before the Jamal hill fight so idk what's up...if it was a similar situation again, or a mix up, but that's what I heard.. about why he was not kicking & mostly just boxing in sparring for this. I saw a couple of the sparring sessions too, anyway. Half decent card, some good some bad. Great finish.

Alex is already among the greats of all time. Mighty mouse gsp Jon Jones Anderson silva type shit. Nobody has done what he has done in this short of time. If he moves up and becomes 3 division champ he is the goat. He could fight Jon Jones and end the debate. I do think Jones wins by submission/decision though.

Anyway, great night of fights. Props to Dan ige for stepping up and taking a fight on such short notice and Diego lopes for weighing in 3 different times and rolling with everything thrown at him this weekend. I saw some people complaining but tonight was great. Maybe I am biased because I hit all my bets.

Man Dan probably would have won that fight with 2 more rounds. I didn't expect him to have a chance. I hope that performance doesn't hurt Diego stock because he is very fun to watch
