Aldo fans, you know what's good. No reason to feed the Conor lovers, the talking will be done in the octagon.

And Conor has actually grown on me in the past 6 months. I hope he can manage being #2 in the FW division until Aldo retires though.

His claims of moving up to LW are just delusions of grandeur as well; he'd get smoked @ LW.

Don't worry, aldo will prevail without much problems. It'll be his easiest fight in a while, because while Mcgregor has flashy offensive moves, most of them leave him wide open to a top fighter like aldo. His pressure won't faze aldo, and the champ will prevail.

watched this video being unbiased as possible, i agree, but disagree with a few points he made



he talked about conor getting "beat up" by mendes which is far from the truth

conor had a lot more strikes landed and did a lot more damage

so that i disagree with..

also he never mentioned that conor checks leg kicks (given aldo's are on a different level i understand) but still being a south paw that's a further distance to travel so i don't believe they'll be as "readily available"

i do agree that aldo's speed / athleticism is beyond crazy and he will have some counter punches of his own.. but he left out the reach factor
he never once mentioned how much aldo got LIT UP by mendes whereas conor avoided mended completely with his reach (only shots mendes really landed were in the clinch or on the ground)

either way it's a pretty nice video, i'm sure i'll disagree with a few things if he posts up a conor one even

I tend to agree with conor getting beat up and Mendes did land quite a few right hands. Some big.

He got beat up on the ground, he was being grinded. He just had a little more in the tank after that scramble. He looked far from fresh when he got up and finished Mendes. Aldo will establish his right hand early on in this fight. I think Conor will get off more earlier on, but you might see Aldo put him away with hooks in round 2. If Conor slips or gets knocked down and Aldo jumps on him that could be it. On the other hand , he could just be a punching bag for Conor landing at will with the classic muay thai stance and approach.

Also, Conor has never surgecically repaired that knee. Aldo can tear that shit apart. God I HOPE no injuries on this card for every fighter but it's a possibility.
