Skill-wise, obviously this generation is far ahead than the last, and 10 years from now it will double over again and so on.

Like pc's :)

I think one of the greatest differences is of fighting today compared to fighting 10 years ago:

- Having an actual gameplan
- Study opponents, find weaknesses, exploit, avoid their strong points
- Intense training and more science behind it
- More supplements (ya know what I mean)

Dumbest post I've seen in a while.
If anything it was harder to be successful back in the early UFC days.
There wasn't Greg Jackson camps, personal chefs, and a single coach for every single aspect of your training.
Mark Coleman excelled because he was a bad motherfucker, the guys in the UFC today wouldn't have lasted back then.
Fighting 3 times in one night etc.

there's fighters in bellator and even glory that do multiple fights in one night

technique is the biggest difference compared to fighters 10 years ago lol, and "supplement" wise, guys were taking a whole lot more back then than today

He was also sauced to the gills ( just like 95% of the fighters ) but yeah I agree... Far from few had legitimate game plans. The talent pool and skill will always increase over time. There is always a few to that exception who are just ahead of their time, and end up innovating a certain aspect.

Coleman paved the way for wrestlers and brought an era that dominated this sport for a long time from him to other pure wrestlers who were inspired by him and Dan

Decisions are never a bad thing lol. I think he's had the same or more finishes then GSP in his title reign in the UFC. All his opponents can't be Dennis Sivir. He's fighting top tier talent as they are peaking more often then not. Your mind set becomes different when you become a champion especially these days.

As for pulling out of fights he's fought twice every year except for 2013 and 2015. Seems fine to me.

Aldo's got another year or two left in him and I think it's very possible for him to grind a decision. I think he will find his jab and straight right early on and the kicks will come later as well as some knee taps.

WOW WOW WOW!

You used to talk mad shit when the fight was 5 months away. Now it's "possible for him to grind out a decision?!"

These kids are hedging all that shit talking they did now that the fights close lololol

Even though he was exploited in that Mendes fight he did show a fantastic chin and great hands as usual. He let mini mendes get inside to much though.

The fight being rescheduled changed alot, but I do remember you watching your words carefully when Mendes was scheduled to replace Jose so it's not like your one to talk.

dude... mendes tried to pass guard... didn't happen. being "exploited"on the ground is like max holloway's debut in the UFC vs poireir.... conor has shown excellent BJJ in the octagon many people just don't know what they are watching.

this is a leg weave that BJ penn used to use all the time
