It's weird to me how huge of a favorite, to fans and line makers islam is.

It's not even that much of a style matchup. Charles is a wildly talented bjj artist who developed into a nasty striker. I could see if Islam was coming in v a striker who couldn't wrestle, but we're talking about the guy who has subd more people than anybody else ever in this sport

The new Charles has a lot of heart and resilience, the Chandler fight showed his maturity. He would of given up and taken the (T)KO like against Felder earlier in his career. But he’s facing a kind of pressure from Islam that’s stronger than he’s faced before. It’s suffocating and will break him.

This fight feels 50/50 to me

Do you believe that though? Khabib is more humble than maybe any fighter we have seen.. I'd say that is more a reflection on his humbleness and his ability as a coach to get the best out of his fighter.

What pressure do you talk about? I v much doubt islam has a plan to stand with Oliveira, esp considering oliveira will walk forward - a given for how he fights, he's going to pressure his opp on his feet. I see islams elite wrestling as his only win condition, and I still give ground adv to oliveira. He has fought the better fighters (understatement tbh, oliveira quality of opponents v islams quality is laughable), under the stress of a title defense

His title fights are so much more exciting then khabibs,

But amazing how khabib made good fighters look foolish,

Prime khabib owns olive,
But I dunno about retired khabib, by khabibs own words , ur only in ur prime once

Khabib vs olive would be interesting cuz they both walk forward ,

Islam has a more stand back defensive striking style, like throw a high kick n hope the guy runs into it

I really doubt that, he doesn't seem like the type to be flip floppy on something like that. His resolve feels different than other people's so when he says he's retired i believe him

Khabib is the goat to me. You can't walk through a killer's division, smesh everyone, never bleed, and not be called the goat

He is a man of honor. Even when he beat McGregor, he complained about McGregor tapping out in front of the thousands of Irish fans he had in attendance, saying he should have gone to sleep. That's why he went after his crew in the crowd, he didn't feel like McGregor suffered enough. Lol.

I'll say this much about Mak/Oliv.... if Olives beats Mak, he should contend for the Welterweight title. Dude has a hard enough time hitting 155, he should go for the double strap.

That being said, I still see Mak winning through offensive wrestling and offensive submissions and his pressure.

According to blood drunk Gaethje, but he's been rocked so many times I don't think he even knows where he is half the time. Like a PTSD war soldier at this point in his career.
