Conor is El Savior

If his fame had generated more interest in mma, then I'd agree
He transcended the sport itself, the majority of his fans are in love with the idea of the persona he advertises rather than the sport he competes in

If they ever stop protecting him from wrestlers he's done
Not that it matters, he already hit his payday vs mayweather selling wolf tickets to all his fans silly enough to think he had a chance
I'd be surprised if he ever fights again

you think a sport where big black men run and throw themselves at other people requires more skill and talent than mma
your opinions are invalid

Where did you get that idea
They require entirely different skillsets and training methods
The real difference is that the nfl has top tier athletes and mma is largely populated by people who couldnt cut it in sports that pay well

you think people in mma joined mma because they failed to make it into the nba/mbl/nfl/nhl?

Not always, but given the option between making tens of millions per year or sub 100k on average, you can see why mma has such a shallow talent pool

There are some who just grew up training combat sports and may well have been great in other sports

I've said it many times, Donald Cerrone could have been a very dominant tennis player
Diaz bros could have won the tour de france

Alvarez is a bush league journeyman well past his expiration date, and his wrestling pedigree isn't exactly stellar

Mendes fought on 2 weeks notice, mcgregor barely survived that fight until mendes gassed and can be thankful he wont have to fight him again
