The 2 sports my be different but the cutting process is the same.

I think you don't realize that the point is to not cut weight...not cut the same amount in a shorter period of time.

i just dont believe that is possible. you can set the time limits, but you cant control how or if people lose weight. if people are willing to ruin their bodys with every drug known to man, what makes you think they wont attempt to be bigger during fight time?
as i said before, i understand the theory, just dont see it as being practical.

also this

the main issue if people miss weight then a fight can be cancelled the same day with no alternative to either fill in or replace the figh

/e what they should do is have every fighter weigh in 3 months before a fight, then 1 month before a fight, then 1 week, then the day before if at any point they're not on HEALTHY track they get replaced

also make a certain body% of weight you CAN cut from

say 20 pounds@170, if hendricks weighs in at 195 3 months prior, he can't take the fight, gives the ufc proper time to find someone who can, etc etc etc

Oh well we might not agree on this but it's this idea of it not being possible that needs to change.

For fun I'd love to see a weight-in just before they get in the octagon just to see how much they weight when they fight.

then you're retarded

losing a top 10 fighter because of a comment

words that do no harm to anyone in any way shape or form

being kicked out for words, but NOT cocaine, is FUCKING RETARDED

they do no harm to you. saying they do no harm is just uninformed and well, retarded. there are repercussions for everything you say, and when you represent a multi billion dollar company, you need to recognize that.
it is all about that $ at the end of the day. if the ufc thinks your words will hurt their money, bye bye. the same logic is used for jon jones. will the ufc lose or gain money by standing by him? easy, they will make more with him. there is no reason to bring morals into this, especially your personal ones, they are irrelevant.

And what will they do when a fighter is overweight right at fight time? Will they just grab a fighter out in the crowd and wrap him up and let him step in?

Joe Rogan is pretty informative letting you know what fighters usually walk around at.. During the high profile fights anyway...

I was really directing this at the op and others mainly, sorry for quoting you..

If people were weighed in immediately before the fight.. 85% of the UFC Would be forced to fight in light heavy weight or higher because that's where most of them belong. Being a natural LHW and making yourself concentration camp thin so you can exploit your reach advantage and punch someone from Pluto is gay and needs to stop imo

That's what I've been bitching about for months lol.
