This, everybody cuts weight so it's not really an advantage so to speak..
it's a skill that goes along with the sport, if you can't do it.. you suffer
If you can't talk / hype a fight you don't make money
Just way she goes
Talking to media = skill
weight cutting and remaining healthy = skill
fight itself = skill
All ties together as just simply being part of the sport
I think people are miunderstanding what I'm saying.
I don't give a rip about weight cutting. I was just simply saying making 2 LHW fighters fight at a catch weight a week before the fight when the fight was supposed to be a LHW fight AND when the weight class above them is the HW division defies logic, other than to fulfill a technicality.
a week out from the fight the work is already done.
My guess is when Rampage lost the injunction he stopped training and started pounding the weight on, then when they got it overturned realized he's fucked to make 205 so they turned it into a catch weight.
Just make it a HW fight. Forget the catch weight bullshit. Both fighters are gonna weigh 225-235 come fight time anyways.
I don't normally think catch weights are dumb or even cutting (I will say I don't like weigh in being the day before, that's ridiculous and most would agree with that). Just in a case like this, it seems pointless
