Who doesnt get murdered by knees/kicks to the chin? The question is if he will avoid it happening.

Mark hunt takes them better than most but youre right.
Any subpar MMA fighter is going to take hin down at will and do whatever they want. Idc if he is training with Woodley. You cant just hop in the octagon after a little training and think you'll be successful.

Floyd Mayweather to start training MMA in a weeks time:
https://www.express.co.uk/sport/ufc/937052/Floyd-Mayweather-Tyron-Woodley-UFC-Training-Next-Week

If he is serious, than he is as foolish as conor was for going to boxing. He will literally get murdered the first knee/kick to the chin piece he takes

Not even the chin lol... someone not used to taking leg+body kicks won't be able to walk after a couple land clean. When you've been training since you could walk in a sport that doesn't allow kicks you're not going to get used to defending them after a few months of training. It'd be idiotic for him to fight Conor. I see Floyd vs Cm punk or some goofy m/u like that happening if he were to come to mma

A prime Aldo would leave Floyd hospitalized after the first round from those leg kicks and Conor would be able to toy with him and choose whenever and however he wants to finish the fight. Any wrestler is gonna be able to take him down and rape him if they choose for 3-5 rounds straight. If someone like mini Mendes or Edgar wanted to legitimately butt fuck Floyd there would be absolutely nothing he could do about it. He'd lay there and squeal and flail for mercy

Even some of the smaller guys.. mighty mouse / dillashaw would murder him
Maybe if he was younger and invested a serious 1.5 - 2 years of training he could have success in the top 10s of the 125-145 divisions with his fight IQ and how good of a boxer he is
More importantly how good of a defensive boxer he is

But at this age and minimal amounts of training literally anybody in the top 10 of those divisions will toy with him, much less the champions/top contenders

Guys in no named organizations would probably toy with him. Don't think it would have to be the top 10 of any of those divisions lol.

As you said, if he dedicated at least a couple years to training and was a young Floyd, I'm sure he would have some level of success in mma, possibly be top 10 in some weight classes but there is no chance in hell he could compete with mma fighters today.

'little' is relative..

MMA is a unique sport to compete in because its still emerging.

floyd has a LOT of training in a few transferable disciplines. were not talking about cm punk here lol

but yeah, if floyd actually wanted to win, he should train for 6 months or so. even if one isnt trying to become adept at a discipline, they should be aware of it's dangers and tendencies. so he should get a month of training each for 4 or 5 disciplines, considering his blank palette towards everything but hands, footwork and evasion in the pocket (limited to standing hand strikes..)

Financially it wasnt.
He is very good at marketing himself.

Did you watch the fight? He looked like a fool the whole time.
His corner sounded like a bunch of clowns, he looked like a clown.

It was a freak show and apparently freak shows are more important than legitmate matches now. He damaged both sports with that crap

Floyd's boxing instincts are going to be good and bad. Obviously his hands are crisp which is good. But his stance/footbwork may actually be somewhat problematic. The amount of reps he's done in such a closed off stance is going to make it super difficult to adjust to an open stance. I didn't even have boxing experience but when I started kickboxing my stance was too closed off. On pads I'd control it but when I sparred I'd always revert to being closed off and my leg would get lit up. It took a while to kick the habit to the point where a good stance was automatic in sparring so I can only imagine how difficult it would be for him.

For his evasion, subtle head movement and knowledge of hand range should help a lot. He's just gotta make sure he doesn't revert to the philly shell or putting his head too low in the heat of the moment. I think it was the Zab Judah fight he made a mid fight adjustment to stop using the shell and keep both hands up. And even then he'd go back to it sometimes and get hit.
