Honestly I think McGregor has a great shot.
I am excited for this fight it's an absolute awesome match-up, but the nut-hugging is just going too far.

Could definitely happen. I just think Conor's striking is next level and that plotting Muay Thai style that aldo uses is a terrible match up for Conor's style. Add in the south paw factor, the size difference, the mental edge... I think conor finishes him within 2.

I think Aldo's ego is too big to take conor down and try to grind him out / submit him.

If he stand with conor it will be lights out sooner or later..

I just re-watched it to be sure and while it was a damn good fight, I only had mendes winning the fourth decisively (the third and fifth were close to but octagon control I think took it for jose). Was a close fight but it was aldo in the end imo.



It could very well be as you say, I am not by any means discrediting connor. Dude is a monster, I just think aldo isn't getting the credit he deserves... I mean, he has been champ for what? Like 10 title defenses or some crazyness? !? People shouldn't be writing him off so easily

I don't think it's as much of people writing Aldo off so easily as people recognizing that there is something special about Conor. He has something about him that makes him stand out and everything he has said he'd do, he has done. It's almost absurd to imagine the #1 p4p fighter being an underdog going into a fight. I'd imagine if this isn't the first time it has ever happened in combat sports, it's definitely one of the few times.
