conor has looked great conditioning wise, but yeah i don't think it'll be a walk in the park come round 4 / 5 after taking some punches and possibly fighting off take downs / fighting off his back etc
there's only a handful of guys that still look fresh in the 4th and 5th rounds
edgar / dillashaw / cruz / nick diaz / condit and few others
you can just tell by conor's physique that his cardio is top tier. not to mention his pace too. mendes said he felt like he was in quick sand.

lol what the fuck, you haven't seen that fight, have you?
round 4 was arguably 10-8 for aldo
And yeah, for the last half of round 5 mark hominick sat in aldo's guard and threw punches that did very little damage... This was after Aldo dropped Hominick with an uppercut after lighting him up on the feet for the first half of the round. I'm not saying that Aldo doesn't gas, he does, but that's just a bad example.
Karate style fighters are notorious for gassing in long fights too tho, if you have a reason to believe that Conor's going to be fresh in the 5th round if it goes that far I'd love to hear about it.
i did watch that fight and i remember laughing in the last round because jose was getting pounded as the shit-can was turning up. hominick is just another d level fighter that jose couldn't finish. i can also 100% guarantee conor will be more fresh than aldo if they went 5 rounds
