No because boxing and mma are different sports with different rule-sets.

professional wrestling is professional wrestling, no matter what brand name you slap on it.

That's not the same as saying boxing and mma are the same thing.. You directly equated boxing and mma, when they are clearly different sports.

Not a big difference between the acting on ecw or whatever, and wwe. The rules aren't different enough for ecw to be considered a different sport than wwe. So yeah.. same shit, different pile.

Either way, I can't tell the difference and I thought that gif was awesome.

well ECW had hardcore matches . WWE does not.
ECW was epic and more independent, lots of great wrastlers start out there. Their goal was to make it to WWF at the time.
but same sport yes.

id compare it to like the ultimate fighter vs UFC

Reports suggest that the WWE creative team had planned on The Rock receiving a beating at the hands of Brock Lesnar on the post-WrestleMania 29 RAW, to create a new feud between the two. The plan was basically to set up a Rock vs Brock match at WrestleMania XXX. It is believed that The Rock himself came up with this idea, but his injury forced him to return to Miami.

This prompted Vince McMahon to have the writing team re-do the entire show on Monday to avoid any kind of panic. The reason why Brock was kept off RAW is that the WWE officials and Vince McMahon did not want to waste a Rock or Brock Lesnar appearance without something sensational happening.

Reports also suggest that it is the start of The Rock’s new contract, and that he has very limited TV dates over the next year.
