anyone that thinks throwing a straight left will land before a kick like that is insane, the only smart way to defend against a kick like that is to dodge it...

conor predicts deez tings.. he'll be throwing the punch right before aldo throws the kick without aldo even seeing it coming

it would still be the bad way to defend against it, if you're punch doesn't land hard enough to disrupt that kick, you are taking a MASSIVE kick to the body that will not feel good risk vs reward there

....my man. Aldo is not going to land those body kicks. Mcgregor isn't going to be in range for that, he controls distance too well. Cmon B.

Nah, Mendes exposed that Conor isn't untouchable.
Mendes, a wrestler, got in some decent shots, and let's not forget Aldo has better wrestling and ground game than Conor does.

jose literally has nothing for conor on the feet... the only trouble conor will face is jose's wrestling. jose gets full mount on almost every opponent

e/ what will make the difference is conor's heart and grace under pressure

Yeah he's very slick... I think Jose's squareness and muay thai stance will be his downfall in the stand up department. Mendes is high level enough to land on anybody... Jose will get his licks in, I think Conor will just get the better of it on his feet due to his teeps.

I fear for Conor on the ground though. Jose has been working hard on his wrestling for so many years now.

These.

Jose's only chance is to not let his ego / pride get the best of him....

Take conor down and try to tire him out and submit him... I don't think he can "break" conor, I don't really think any of the top level guys... Conor aldo mendes frankie etc can be "broken." So jose needs to follow mendes game plan try and exhaust him for 2-4 rounds then go for a late submission..

If he tries to stand on the feet and strike with conor, he is going to sleep. It's that simple.

jose is also known to fade after round 2 and he never finishes so you know if conor doesn't KO him it's going to deep waters.. his only chance is to get an early sub like conor's past losses. i think conor has evolved and matured to a point where he wont make those little mistakes to give up a submission. like i said grace under pressure.. and we all know conor has carried huge weight on his shoulders and even over-delivered in the past.
