GSP at 155? :O That's insane. Maybe he just wants to become a tri-weight champ--that would be a 1st. At this stage, with his injury history and his age (39), I don't think anyone would blame him for not returning to the UFC. Any idea who he hopes to fight if he returns at 155?

Totally strange question, but does anyone think another fight league will challenge the UFC for viewership and $ in the next 10 years? I'm not asking for a specific reason. Dana White is all about making money but he makes some casual mistakes. I think that in MMA, there's a lot of room for making business mistakes if they're part of the rhetoric of the sport. The way he talks about and treats some of the athletes and staff is kind of sketchy. So if there's a way the UFC could take a plunge, that may be it. But it's also possible that someone will outgrow them. Maybe someone would connect with Netflix and get a contract to offer live fights that people can save on there, for example. It would only take a few really sneaky deals or moves to change the entire market.

GSP already feared fighting him... asking for a catchweight is a cop out because he knows dana won't go for that shit.

this is standard GSP desperate to keep his name relevant but his urine out of USADA's hands

IDK if he's going to aim for a Diaz. That would be old news. Maybe someone like Khabib though.

I don't know if GSP roided ... did he REALLY dodge testing?

I think Khabib should take that fight if GSP is asking for it. GSP is 39. Losing wouldn't end Khabib's career but winning would immediately vault him to the upper echelon of the GOAT conversation. GSP has nothing to lose, either. A loss means he's 39 and rusty and a win would be ridiculous but not altogether unexpected.

I'd love to see Khabib vs Tony

Yet GSP vs Khabib would probably rank among the top selling PPVs of all-time for the UFC. Plus it's a compelling fight at this stage.

That's even better! I like Khabib's fierceness and confidence. He's need every ounce of it if he's going to fight GSP, because GSP has a habit of coming back from being away for a while and shocking people. Khabib should be trying to take the fight at the weight he wants. He's the champ. GSP is the greater legend, but I think it's only fair to fight at Khabib's weight unless Khabib feels he can fight at 100% at a catch weight. I actually think a catch weight within +5 or 10 pounds wouldn't hurt Khabib because he's strong as he's not razor quick. He's not as strong as GSP is/was but he doesn't need to be if he can wrap him up.

I disagree at bold.
Khabib doesn't have to dictate at what weight the fight should be since he is the one who called GSP at first. When you call someone, you are the one who's supposed to be ready to meet your opposent where he is and not imposed your restrictions.. and fighting at 155 for the belt doesn't make sense because this should be for the ''legacy'' fight and the last of his career according to himself
