Neither of them ever fought some one with stand up like Overeem.

JDS has good offensive boxing for mma (defensive we don't know, since he just fought fail wrestler/bjj guys that he could easily pick apart). But that's all he has... so limited...

And Cain litteraly has nothing going for him vs Overeem...

You're seriously talking about JDS's boxing defense when Overeem's is one huge factor in this fight... Overeem acts as if the 4oz MMA gloves are K1 gloves -- he was getting tagged left and right by Werdum, his defense was atrocious.

Once again, JDS wins via being more technical, having more speed, and arguably a better chin.

But, as I've said in the past, this is dumb to argue until we know whether or not the fight is going to happen.

Well JDS vs Overeem will be a dangerous fight for them both.

JDS can perhaps knock out Overeem, but Overeem still punches a lot harder and can definitely knock JDS out and on top of that has a lot more weapons like one time in the muay thai clinch and some knees and the fight is pretty much over or at the very least the spring will be out of JDS.
Or a liver kick etc.

All in all Overeem should be the favorite in this fight.

Oh and wouldn't it be funny if Overeem actually takes JDS down and ground and pound him ftw? That would be another realistic option in Overeem's arsenal and another thing for JDS to worry about.

We'll see how JDS does against Cain's takedowns, assuming Cain doesn't get knocked out in just a little over a minute in this fight. If he stuffs the good majority of Cain's takedowns, there's no way Overeem will be able to get him down.

He used a different stance than he always does in their first fight, because he knew Cain was going to be trying to take him down.

Well i agree that it will be interesting to see if Cain can take him down or not.

But that is still not a good comparison, he will have the clear stand up advantage vs Cain, so it will be a lot easier to prepare for the inevitable take down.

Also Overeem does not have to do a regular take down, he just needs a clinch where he can either knee him or ragdoll him to the ground.

If Overeem gets JDS in the clinch, JDS will have some problems, no doubt, but he's not going to be able to ragdoll him around like Brett Rogers. Brett Rogers is fucking terrible, and despite the fact that Overroid is stronger than JDS, it doesn't mean that he'll be able to take him down.

I wouldn't be surprised if JDS gets Overeem down at some point in the fight.

How could JDS get Overeem down? And why? Overeem his ground game > JDS his ground game.
