Favorite triangle setup?

Gi or no-gi.

I'm a fan of the knee-block set-up from guard. Once you establish collar / wrist control, bring the opposite leg in over your opponent's arm and position it vertically. You can threaten with a strong scissor sweep, but by extending your leg and switching your hips, you can get a great angle for a triangle. It's an awesome position because of all the options. The most common reaction I get is people trying to smash my legs and pass, but since they break their own posture it makes the triangle easy and deep. The other reaction is to posture up and sit back from the threat of the triangle, in which case you can just reset guard or go back to the knee-block position.

My teacher Baret Yoshida was going over a whole bunch of ankle locks and toe holds last night and he got me in a gnarley ankle lock and now my ankle feels really fucked up and when I move my foot and rotate my ankle it makes a clicking sound so I think some ligaments are slightly damaged :(

Any foot/ankle/knee lock... Tap early and fast. Those holds can get ugly, quick.

Wow, I'll have to look out for that one..
The possibilities of opponents in this, billed as a super fight

Marcelo Garcia

Claudio Calasans

Lucas Leite

Not sure if Diaz could hang with them...
Big fan though, good to see him find his roots...Hopefully he'll be back in the UFC after the suspension!

I'm a bigger fan of Nate than Nick, but both of them would get obliterated by any of those three in a straight grappling match.

I doubt he'll get anyone on that level. Where'd you get those names anyways?

They are the 3 best middleweight (82kg/181lbs) Straight Jits guys I know. When I'm working, not laid up recovering I am onto the BJJ scene.
We use some fundamentals in our course/training, and this created a greater interest. Been right in to World Pro Cup, Mundial, Mundial Nogi, ADCC comps for a few years...

Why do you ask?

Thought you'd read something about possible matchups somewhere and came up with those names.
