why risk fighting a vet with very strong wrestling on a short notice. Id like to remind everyone islam has the same shoes as khabib and will most likely follow his footsteps as well. Khabib is involved in everything their group do and involved to the roots. How do you think tagir got the bonus , who do you think told islam what to negotiate for the short notice vs RDA etc, imagine what dana hears from khabib in regards to islam. Because makhachev will face him eventually if he’s champ. Don’t see RDA hanging up the gloves anytime soon. He calls him out 3 times LOL like how does that fight not happen? Maybe it’s a set up for the future.

Really good point. I agree. If he hadn’t have called him out, I probably wouldn’t have made this post lol. I think the biggest thing for me is that I would’ve rather seen that fight at the co-main 272 than moicano just because he got his face beat in. Granted, it was cool to see him get to the end… he just didn’t take it to RDA like makhachev would’ve. That’s what kills his “fold” for me the most. Like look at Colby. He would’ve “fought Jorge for free” lol. Now granted, that’s not practical and we all know that’s for show… but the aspect of Colby taking the fight no problem with a good record vs Makhachev taking the fight no problem… with a good record… as long as he is “paid 1M?” Gimme a break. Like, I get that they are at different points in their career but like… 3 dodges is too many. Either way he’s gonna have to answer to RDA when he comes knocking for the belt again.
hopefully RdA gets just 1 more title shot if Makhachev can top Oliviera
