Alright so I might have missed this thread since I’m not a regular here and I’m for that too so plz roast me or w/e if you want but yo - is it me, or is anyone else not impressed at all with those training vids he’s posting? Like I know the dude can completely kick my ass but I just feel he seems on the level of an armature rather than the Mike Tyson the media is making this out to be.

imagine being some guy sitting at a computer calling Mike Tyson an "armature".

To answer your question one must answer Tysons style. The Peek A Boo

He's a shorter heavyweight who had to face guys with significant reach/height advantage.

He's always needed to get to the inside fast in order to do damage.

His famous left right left right flawlessly dodging his opponents strikes only to deliver a vicious hook or overhand.

Not all boxers employ this style, and "speed" of a boxer can mean a few things.

Either in footwork/head movement as we see Tyson do so often.

Or in the overall speed of their strikes.

To answer the question, yes i'm still impressed with the way a 50 yr old heavyweight is moving.

Yes he still has the touch of death, even if his strikes are a bit slower.

Speed gets hard countered by timing so as long as his fight IQ is sharp he's gonna do fine.

He's no Lomachenko but he's also a 50 yr old heavyweight.

I’m extremely surprised that he is coming back to boxing. In a past interview, he said that he had no passion for boxing and that he was offered 100 million and refused. Something doesn’t seem right. He was doing other stuff for these past couple of years and getting paid. I don’t think this is about the money. My inner conspiracy nut says that he was probably brainwashed or cloned.

I think they tried to do the same thing with kobe bryant. But he was too smart for them. So they just decided to kill him off.
