I had pettis winning against ferreira too. But i was very surprised on the outcome.

I rolled with Ferreira once when he used to be at a gym in Edinburg, Tx back in college (ofc i was a broke college student at the time but was allowed to go in to the gym for two weeks free) Ferreira was fighting for an amateur promotion called South Texas Fighting Championship at the time. The dude was an absolute monster on the ground. I honestly had Pettis winning vía tko since Ferreira’s never excelled in the striking department, although he has improved somewhat over the last few fights.

Masvidal is the most overrated fighter on the roster.
Beating askren like that proved nothing to me.

i'm a fan of masvidal and even I think he's a little too hyped up lol. I think usman wins easily any which way unless masvidal lands a shot. He has good power to put people out but i think it's all been pretty lucky lately. He's never been top tier fighter, but if he keeps landing ko's who can argue?
I see him as a fun persona to follow and throws hands with everyone that wants it so he's exciting to watch. Hope he gets the KO just so he can say he was champ but i can't see him beating usman anywhere technically speaking.

No doubt Usman would make quick work of him I think.
We would also likely see Usman going with more wrestling in that fight.

Askren is probably my favorite fighter, but it's obvious he wasn't currently a top 5 fighter. His striking is just too far off.

Still bothers me that people tried taking away his win against Lawler. That bulldog choke was inescapable, you saw the arm go limp, and he still had almost 2 minutes left to crank it. Lol. Unbelievable.

That lawler fight sold me on askren, the loss did not change that, anyone can get cracked in the face by a knee when hyper focused.
To be honest none of these sub 40 second knockouts impress me, because it can happen to anyone, is conor a better fighter than aldo? Not in my books, aldo defended his title, conor only rematches when he loses and never defends anything.
If conor thought he was a better fighter than eddie or aldo he would have proved it by giving them a rematch.
In fact i think EVERY champion should get a rematch clause period.
