Sure, as soon as askren let go lawler was straight up with arms asking what the fuck, he wasnt being choked, for sure ot wouldve hurt but its robbie lawler, pretty sire askren had him in a headlock when robbie decided to pick him up and drop him on his head and proceed to punch the fuck out of him, so who knows what was about to happen
I disagree man. The arm limp just doesn't make any sense otherwise.
I cant imagine a scenario why you would you just let your arm dangle in a limped state.
The whole world saw that and said he was out, Joe said he was out there, Herb said he was out. The commissioner executive director said he was out. They didnt even feel the need to see a replay for that call from what i heard. Regardless, it's the refs job to protect fighters. They're supposed to error on the side of caution.
That artery is huge in your neck. When that is released, that bloods going to flow back in fast.
I don't think that's unrealistic for you to regain consciousness like that.
I also don't think a rematch will happen. I'd love to see it. And I could see Lawler winning, I think most people think that's completely possible.
But it doesn't sound like Ben has interest in it, he wasn't really that interested in this fight to start with. It sounds like he legitimately just wants to fight as many guys as he can to try to get to the belt, he's not looking to waste time on rivalries. He's 34, and who knows how long he will be fighting for.
I guess we will just agree to disagree though. I'm fine with that.
Im curious what Rogan will say on the podcast about it. He will definitely bring it up.
Great performance by both of them. That slam was insane. Also was Askrens ability to recover from that.
I was surprised Lawler wasn't able to get the finish, it felt like he was so close.
