What other fighter would take a last minute fight at 170 pounds when they went through their whole camp and is conditioned for a 155 pound fight for the title? Any other fighter would back out and wait for the title.

That didn’t work out so well for him tho... that’s why most other fighters would wait.

e/ And other fighters took fights with contenders in the weight class that they were in, most recently Frankie Edgar. Had a title shot lined up, champ injured he could have went up to 155 for a Money fight while he waited, but he took on the next toughest guy in his weight class and lost losing his title shot.

He took it because he was DELUSIONAL and thought Nate would be an easy win... His ego was far bigger than his left hand, why you are praising him for being stupid is beyond me.

Agreed he got his ass beat, but people seem to overlook he was a 145'r, fighting his very first fight in the ufc at 155, already done camp, then when RDA pulled out he accepted a last minute fight at 170 pounds vs Nate.

Thats not the same as Frankie taking a fight in his own division.

How many times has Conor taken a last minute fight? Multiple. How many times has Conor pulled out of a fight? Zero.

Maybe, he thinks every fighter is an easy win, thats the menatality he and a lot of fighters have.

Praising a fighter for taking risks for the benefit and sake of the fans? if you don't take risks in life devilslayer each day is going to be more mundane than the last.

Bruh, it’s not like he took on a welterweight contender.

They were two bloated lightweights fighting at 170. Nate was top 10 ranked LW at the time.

Im done here, expected more from you homerun.

All you see is who he fought, not that he agreed to fight at a heavier wait even after he was conditioned and spent a whole camp training for 155. Do you know how much of a difference 15 pounds is?

Nate is a dangerous fight for anyone, and could not make 155, he had to cut to 170. Ive seen nate in person, he is not a small guy lmao

You see what you want to see.

Cartons, Edgar and others would have taken the fight on 9-days notice for millions, guaranteed.

Conor thought Nate was an easy fight. Turned out he was wrong. Did it take huge courage? Of course, but that act of courage is also lessend when he gets an immediate rematch and a title shot still.

The FTW champ fought a LW at 170. More of a freak show than a badass thing imo.

e/ LOL!! Cerrone got corrected to cartons. Wtf

I just don't get the Conor thought nate was an easy fight mentality.. who were his other options to save the card that would be tougher than nate? Conor clearly thinks everone in his division is easy and has said it multiple times..

With that comparison why are you not showing Conor the same respect you show Edgar / Cerrone?

Lets agree we are both biased and move on with our day, rather than circle jerking each other over a fight 3 years ago.
