The idea of adding "Trusted" status or its equivalent has been thrown around quite a bit. If you can suggest a way that we can verify someone's status as "Trusted", we are open to suggestions. I've seen several sports betting lists not mean anything, and recently one mediator for another subforum welched 20K FG. This was because they were quite generous with handing out mediator status. We don't run our list based upon popularity, it's based upon merit, i.e. bets placed over time. Right now, it seems overall people are happy with the system, but again, we are open to suggestions and comments. They help us immensely, and in turn, helps you.

Based on the fact that bets are made so infrequently (Events come once bi-weekly compared to other forums where bets come daily) and with our relatively small population, I think we should just scrap the active part as a whole This would save you time on updating the "active" list. I'm happy how things are run right now with Merle as my go-to med. FYI, I don't consider posting once every blue moon on any forum "active".

I disagree with scrapping active. It lets other people know if someone is safe to bet with with no fear of welch if they cbf using a med.

it`s helpful to see people`s active status, because if you`re looking for a bettor, you just pm the name on the active list

i love the active list, it's hard to get on and i haven't seen one welch yet

everyone in this subforum seems to be honest when it comes to betting, and those who would normally be dishonest, don't want to wait to bet on 5 events 7 bets and etc u know?

This I completely disagree with. No fear of welching? Our active requirements aren't exactly as stringent as other forums.

I also meant to add that the betting requirements have changed as well over time, and will continue to do so. It started out as 6 bets over 4 events, now it's 7 bets over 5 events. The requirements will continue to change as the forum changes.
