Lol, how do you measure fighting skill? And how did you come to the conclusion that Kos has more than GSP?

i wouldnt say more, id say the same

id measure based on the past fights, and how much they've grown in between fights

gsp seems to have reached his limit if you ask me, this is the best he'll everr be, but will it be enough compared to someone who's still getting significantly better?

Then it's got to be essentially based on records. GSP's record beats Kos's in every category except wins by submission, in which they are tied.

I don't think GSP is even close to being done evolving or getting better as a MMA. He's an admitted self-perfectionist; after the Hardy fight he went straight to the locker room and tried to figure out why that brutal armbar didn't finish the Outlaw..

I remember GSP having 185 ambitions as well. He's also not even 30 years old and is a spectacular athlete. GSP will be around for a long time and continue to get better, Couture v2.0 imo.

i didnt say via record, by performance overall, watch the fights, gsp hasn't been the same, almost weaker if you ask me, kos has been getting relatively better

I don't see it that way at all. His last two fights were vs strikers. He took them down as is the norm. But when he took them down, they stayed there and GSP did whatever he wanted to them. When he fought BJ, whos a submission specialist it ended via tko. Remember the Fitch fight? That was one of the best performances in GSP's career. He DOMINATED Fitch.

If anything, I'd say that GSP has improved every time we've seen him. Matter of opinion of course.

it seems more like he's been fighting less impressive fighters, but preforming the same against worse and worse opposition

a guy i know wrote this on fb and i thought it was good :D

I don't even understand how people can give Koscheck a chance. No, I'm not undermining his abilities, but seriously. Let's take a look at the past few fights of both GSP and Koscheck.

GSP defeated Koscheck, Matt Hughes, then Matt Serra. Then... he defeated Jon Fitch who was killing everybody in the welterweight devision. BJ penn, one of the sport's top lightweight and a relentless fighter even at the welterweight division looked like a dummy infront of GSP. Then Thiago Alves, a guy bigger, faster and stronger than GSP came to fight him and GSP took him down without efforts to get a decision victory after having ripped his crotch. Dan Hardy, a REAL Knockout artist, unlike Koscheck as the video you posted the other time said, couldn't even make GSP flinch.

Now let's look at Koscheck. After losing to GSP he fought Dustin Hazlett, whom he defeated with a TKO victory and Chris Lytle, whom he defeated via unanimous decision. Of course, you can clearly see what's going on here, these fighters Koscheck fought are REALLY not top level contenders. After these two, Koscheck fought Thiago Alves where he lost against him, without having his crotch ripped. He then had a victory over yoshida, who in my opinion is one of the worst welterweight fighters to ever fight in the UFC. Then he lost against Paulo Thiago by KO! Paulo Thiago? He can't punch for shit! Yes, he's awesome on the ground but he can't strike for shit! Then who did he fight against? Frank Trigg? he was good, but now he sucks. And he also had to fake getting hit with a knee to the head while on the ground. Then who was next? Anthony Johnson? Please, don't compare Anthony Johnson to Matt Hughes, BJ Penn or Jon Fitch, who GSP was able to FINISH them all. And who was the last one? Paul Daley? Hahaha..

As you can see, GSP has been fighting top level contenders and make them look bad, while Koscheck's only way to look half impressive is by fighting people that simply aren't that great, compared to top level contenders in the division.

his grappling improves every time we see it and "worse and worse opposition" still encompasses the best challengers the UFC has to offer at the time.
