I mean, he hasnt had that left hook since USADA so it seems pretty clear to me. He was a lot of fun to watch back in his early years. Had killer wrestling but chose to just put everyone to sleep

Do you think he would lose that much power? That kind of power is usually something you're born with

Not saying the guy is the best fighter. Reduced skillset but the heart of a warrior. Much respect to me.

I don't appreciate the stupid attitude. They are both tough as nails, doesn't mean they have to act like they don't have a brain.

e/ Your not being stupid, the attitude of the Diaz brothers. They can't ditch the "hood nigga" attitude, they are professional athletes ffs.

e2/ I do feel sorry for Nick though, when he got to face GSP it showed he is just a scared anxious little man inside that hardcore af exterior. I can relate to that feeling.

Lol. Superstar is relative to the sport/career.

Your superstars of the NBA are typically the top individual players putting up big stats i.e. lebron/Westbrook/curry etc etc. NFL is the same way. MMA superstars are typically at that level from skill but also were good at self promoting and got the hype train behind them with the UFC or w/e promoting them. As I said, your posterboys/faces of the sport. Your music superstars are typically your international stars that are selling out stadiums and pushing ridiculous album sales. Hollywood obv has theres etc etc

You could call Alvarez a veteran but he certainly isn't a superstar. Hence why he's fighting on fight nights and prelims and not headlining ppvs. Although, he couldnt do any worse than nunes

LeBron James has a losing record in the NBA finals. He gets there all the damn time but loses. If it wasn't for the narrative of the NBA to preach him as the greatest, would he still be the King? How are we suppose to gain new superstars in MMA when the UFC won't give them the proper attention?

When youre not born with it, you can aquire it. I cant even think of one person he has rocked with a punch or combination since fighting Georges. Not saying hes guilty, just seems like it

I feel sorry for the guy. He should become a high school wrestling coach and stick with that.

In his last interviews, he came off so insecure, unsure and weak...

Not necessarily. Having that level of power is definitely part genetics. Obv there are ways to improve it. It's probably just as much mental as it is him not juicing anymore. As someone that has taken PEDs, it's very hard to go back to working out natural afterwards. I can't imagine what it would feel like to fight with PEDs then not being able to have them.

I'm not going to debate basketball with you lol. Lebron James is not only the face of the NBA but probably one of the most famous athletes on the planet. That qualifies as being a superstar.

The UFC knows what they're doing. It's not just them either. It typically starts as hypetrains from the mma community and if the UFC sees the opportunity and think there is superstar potential, they'll jump in and promote the fk out of it too.

Georges was right when he decided, after Hendricks fight, to step aside and fight the system against all the cheaters.

I dont disagree that most people who can put someone to sleep with a single punch are born with it. There are a lot of variables to it though. Adrenaline plays a huge part. Ive never personally taken PEDS or steroids. Everything ive ever had physically was earned or born with so I cant even begin to imagine how hard it would be to use then stop and try to achieve the same results properly.

All i know is that I enjoyed his fights back then and would like to see him return to that former glory but feel its never going to happen.

That was without a doubt Georges closest fight. I personally feel Hendricks won that contest.... It is what it is. I cant say I blame georges for stepping away at that point. That fight probably took years off his life

In a lot of cases it can't be achieved naturally for that individual when at that elite level biologically. In terms of the mental aspect at this level we're not talking about fighters trying 1 cycle. It's typically abused and you're used to your body giving you more when you need it,having that extra pep in your step, recovering better through camps, and all of a sudden all of that is gone.

it is mostly genetics, probably has something to do with fast twitch muscle fibers and all that crap. Power can be improved by variables such as specific training methods, getting stronger, learning how to throw a proper punch, and timing but that 1 hit touch of death power is mostly genetic.

If the ref had his eyes open during the first round clearly, Johnny tapped on that guillotine. anyway, Yes it was a close fight for sure and the most difficult for him. Hendricks cleary won 2 rounds while GSP won 3 rounds that was very close I understand many people get confused with the result because of that. This said, Id like to see the normal Hendricks vs Georges today. Georges is clearly at another level than this cheater

Dana White on Nate: "We offer him a fight every 3-4 months and have ever since his last fight. Nothing is going on"

Nate doesn't have much interest in returning anytime soon according to Dana
