But to be training for a striker your whole camp and have a wrestler thrown at you instead 2 weeks before the fight has to be pretty scary.

He can't pull out, there's too much money to be made and he'd look like a bitch. So he had to take it. He has to talk all this trash to hype up a fight, one that he probably is shaking about himself.

I hope he wins, I really do, because I want to see Aldo/McGregor. But if there's no fix involved, I just don't see a way for him to win this.

He pointed out the obvious that it's a tough matchup since it's a wrestler with 2 weeks of preparation but the title is clearly a desperate attempt at attention about Conor being "terrified." You heard his coach himself in that video talking about Conor's nerves and how big of a factor that it is that he has put it in his brain that he's the greatest. In Conor's mind he is the p4p King, ofc it's not true, but he has truly convinced himself of that and that's one of the aspects I find amazing about him. Mendes' only hope will be to take him down and lay on top of him for 5 rounds. If you think Conor is "terrified" you're delusional.

Which is fine, 155 is a more interesting division imo. There are so many good match ups for him there.

if conor can get his TDD on point he'd be dangerous for almost everybody at 155

i don't think he'd ever be champ at 155 though, i think he'd float in and out of the top 5 depending on match ups
