That was a good event.

No way. Casuals hate grappling without ground and pound or quick submissions. The largest walkout cheer of the night was the guy from Houston that came out to the country song, then got knocked out by getting dumped on his dead. The crowd still cheered when that happened too. Gastelum got a decent cheer merely because he’s a fan favorite, but nowhere near a favorite to boo anyone for beating the shit out of him.

The Brady Gastelum fight was boring for most viewers, so they boo’d. They were booing Meisha Tate and fans love Meisha Tate.

The crowd instantly started cheering when Brady was attempting the kimura.

Here's the reality...

A lot of these "fans" didn't even watch UFC or MMA for that matter until Covid blew it up on ESPN when it was the only active sport. Now you have these people in places like Texas and Utah who don't know jack shit about MMA, get mad when they see an absolute dominating ground performance, because they don't even know what they're watching.

I've been to countless events all over the country from different promotions and I've heard some of the dumbest shit imaginable from rednecks who tell me "we don't wrestle, we fight" as they watch MMA for the first time lmao. Austin is a woke shit hole that is full of morons who think they're watching a boxing match where two guys are supposed to just square up in a phone booth.

It's just annoying watching a beautiful performance like we saw last night, only for casual fans to boo it because they don't understand the sport...

Well the reality is that these “fans” bring money. They’re obviously the ones that dominate the events. They’re the ones that pay for ppvs. They’re the ones that UFC will cater towards.
