glover is mediocre
rashad owns him
jones owned him
davis owned him (was a huge lock for davis, was such an easy pick)
anthony johnson owns him
DC reallllly owns him
gust kos him quick

I never thought that Glover should have been top 5 either. So I agree with you. I am just saying that as far as how dominantly Phil owned him in the grappling aspect just shows how good he really is. Does his stand up need work? Absolutely. Does he need to learn how to shoot more effectively against elite strikers? Yep. But the LHW division has never been that great and Phil is definitely near the top of it.

I think Jones / Cormier / Evans are the only ones clearly ahead of him in the rankings. If he fought Gus again it'd just be a repeat of their first fight and I think if he had a rematch with Johnson he would do A LOT better. Not saying he'd beat him, but it'd be interesting.

I am saying that if Phil fought Anthony again that it would be different from their first fight. I think Phil would not be as tentative to get closer before shooting, do a better job at changing levels, etc.

Phil didn't take fatty serious and was just busy trolling JBJ...

In a rematch Phil wins that easily, fatty is OVERRATED.

Fitting title for a welterweight who basically got cut for not making weight and then went on to fight at heavy weight.

Admittedly he did well, but fatty will remain his title.
