Colby for some reason just doesn’t have the “it” factor. He just comes off as annoying. If he wasn’t such a savage in the cage would most likely be gone long ago.
And Chael made a huge payday for both Anderson fights, I’m sure that and the fact he was also cheating played a part in being humble after the fact.

yeah u kinda nailed it there. chael has true charisma and colby is an actual asshole. steroids werent exactly cheating in that era dudes were doctor prescribed TRT and stuff. it was wild
BTW chael was probably a better fighter in his time than colby is now if that makes sense. chael vs anderson 1 and chael vs bisping even though chael almost lost shows how tough and skilled he is
