Wouldn't make much sense to have Cena / Mysterio if the plan is to have Mysterio join 205 live which has also been rumoured. But then again WWE isn't really known for long term planning these days

Justin Barrasso of SI.com posted an update on his report about Rey Mysterio possibly returning to WWE for Wrestlemania. He wrote:

Rey Mysterio is finalizing his return to the WWE, which includes a match at WrestleMania 34. The deal is expected to be complete by the end of the week.

Mysterio’s opponent at WrestleMania is currently scheduled to be John Cena, who is in need of a marquee challenger after it was ruled that The Undertaker will not be working at this year’s show.

Barrasso added that John Cena requested to work with either Samoa Joe or Rey Mysterio at Wrestlemania.

With that being said, Mike Johnson of PWInsider.com noted that Rey Mysterio was NOT backstage at Smackdown Live in Los Angeles according to several sources despite what was reported by Barrasso. However, Johnson could confirm that Mysterio is currently in talks with WWE and Triple H is involved in the negotiations.
