Pettis was the one being rocked imo.
Gil was tagging him a lot, Pettis was clearly uncomfortable that first round.

gil is known for not caring about getting into wild exchanges. while he had pettis against the fence and was pressuring, he quickly stopped trading and went for takedowns, because he was getting owned by strikes. pettis was avoiding a lot

Right. Gil might have landed more striked but they were stockton slaps. A few times pettis connected with solid striked making Gil resort to takedowns.

I like his attitude towards all of this..
Still can joke around with Brian and in a jokingly way, be all like "your the worst best friend ever" "you did absolutely nothing"

Man everyone needs to hear this! Bryan set him up! Haha!
But Brendan is rly open about what he was feeling.
I'm actually more of a Schaub fan now.

I've become more of a fan of schaub after all this blow over as well, love his honesty on this last podcast; like how he broke down after the rogan podcast, talking to his brother while he also thought rogan was right etc..
I still think he has a career in the ufc as a gatekeeper if he's willing to accept that roll, because he will not be a champion(hw or lhw) and I'm sure he has formed a different sort of opinion about being a champion after all this. he's also pretty honest about his loss of sponsors, and said he isn't 'financially setup yet", so I'm curious to see what he does since he still has 4x fights left on his contract...

Hell nah, Pettis was backin up and back against the cage.
He did not like Gil's pressure. Kinda saw a glimpse of the way to beat him.

You have no clue what you're talking..

Just like benson, Gil pushed him against the cage so he couldn't strike. Pettis was happy to be against the cage, he looked fucking amazing with his striking in the small window Gil gave him. He tagged Gil over and over in the pocket and was never really struck by Gil. Pettis didn't look nothing but fucking impressive.

I don't think you do.
Have you ever been in a cage fight? Or sparring?
Gil was doing good in that first round for sure. That was at Gil's pace.
Khabib even said Gil had a good setup, but that he does it much better.
