John Cena's original role for Survivor Series as the guest referee for Lesnar vs. Mahal was designed to build up towards a Cena vs. Mahal match in the future. Due to WWE changing plans, Cena is now scheduled to be part of Smackdown Live's team at the PPV instead.

Jinder may be taking time off to heal his shoulder injury. I think Cena's addition to team SmackDown means we're getting Brock v AJ. It could be really good if it's a competitive match. Just don't want to see Brock squash him.
