WWE just announced that Braun Strowman is expected to be out of action for up to six months after undergoing elbow surgery. It was originally believed he would be out of action for 4-6 weeks. As noted, Braun had been dealing with elbow issues and needed a minor procedure to correct them.

I kinda think it's a smokescreen, he'll be gone but not the full 6 months (I expect a surprise return around SummerSlam). Still a huge loss, best thing going on Raw came to a halt.

Don't they always do this, though? Wasn't Cena supposed to be out due to his shoulder for x amount of months and returned at the Rumble despite supposedly being away another 3 months or something? You never know with WWE, I bet they lie about a lot of "injuries"
