It shouldn't be a surprise that Floyd hits the bags harder. He's been in boxing forever, and he has great speed. I'd assume that Conor's best hits land harder than Floyd's best hits, but regardless, the art of the KO isn't completely about the power behind the hit. It's in accuracy, timing, and distance. The 1st time I KO'd someone, I was 5'6 or 5'7, in 7th grade, weighing a max 120 pounds. I was a strong, wiry kid, but I was still a kid, and I don't look back thinking, "I was a monster, I'd fear my grade 7 me" lol. If a grown man can't KO someone, PLEASE, PLEASE, tell him to get to a gym and do something about it.
Conor is a better KO artist than Floyd imho, and he can get it done from weird angles. But make no mistake, Floyd could catch Conor with an uppercut or a really hard straight punch or a cross and take him out.
Both of these guys have 1 hit KO power in spades. Floyd should have a harder average hit imho, although Conor will be bigger with more length so if he straightens his punches and gets his legs and hips behind his shots maybe he will hit harder. But when it comes to the big punches, I think Conor has greater power and a good chance of delivering from anywhere if he can land. If he can land. I'll say that again: if he can land. That's everything for Conor here.
