im an assistant wrestling coach at the high school i graduated at.

couple weeks ago we took our team to compete at the divisional tournament.

i saw this one kid just walking through the 140lb division. just pulling shit off with no effort at all, teching everyone. he won state last year as a freshman and placed 2nd at nationals, losing the final match by just 1 pt.

dude is a beast. i wouldnt be surprised to see him compete in the olympics in the future.

At my gym you don't get stripes. You need to hold on untill you get your belt.

amateur mma usualy uses headgear and other protection. I'm more surprised about the t-shirt & shorts.

ah all ama mma events ive seen have only had lowered round limits, everything else is normal.

I was under the impression you do some muay thai fights and grappling tourny's prior to an MMA fight.

Not really. Not needed but exp would be nice. you can train in the discipline without competing solely in the competition aspect., thats what mma is for.

Dean lister jokes from the UG:

Quote (chickenscratch)
Dean can spine lock invertebrates.

If all the ligaments torn by Dean were connected end to end, they would circle the earth twice.

Prestigious academic journals consult Dean about their submission process.

Dean's mother once asked him to sweep the kitchen. The oven is still upside-down.
