Between that, and the NUMEROUS greasing allegations against him in the past, it's hard to be a fan of Akiyama's. The dude is a blatant cheater; it'll be interesting to see if he greases on Saturday.

For those who are unfamiliar with the backstories, in 2003 Akiyama defeated three opponents at the World Judo Championships in Japan and was accused by the trio of wearing a gi that had been oiled to prevent his adversaries from gripping onto his sleeves.

"A dispute over a slippery judo jacket may have denied hosts Japan a perfect ending to the world judo championships although they have heaved themselves back from a disastrous performance two years ago. The International Judo Federation (IJF) ruled out a breach of fair play in the case of middleweight Yoshihiro Akiyama, whose slippery jacket, or judogi, has drawn protests from France, Mongolia and Turkey. Akiyama was forced to change his judogi, which was suspected of being waxed to make it difficult for his opponents to grip. He had beaten opponents from the three countries to reach an 81kg light middleweight semifinal on Friday. Wearing a reserve jacket, the Asian Games champion narrowly lost to German Florian Wanner who eventually won the title."

And that's just the tip of the iceberg, no joke. Shields is going to rip his arm off and I'm going to enjoy watching him get cut after losing 4 straight fights(should be 5, Belcher beat him imo).

lol coincidence i call you out for being a BM jew with betting and you retort with this dribble?
you fail to mention the gi was examined and it was deemed to be unintentional.
i really hope you are not that stupid to believe the brass knuckles rumor.
do you know what a zainichi is without googling it? no chance.
do you have any idea of the discrimination they get in Japan?
my best friend is zainichi and even here in Korea he gets it.
if you want to make a reply to this make a new thread or better yet we can post in your thread where you retracted your bet.
dont risk having this thread closed because you want to go tit for tat with me because i called you out.

? It's an MMA Pics/Gifs thread, I posted a picture(just posted another one to stay on topic), and explained the story behind it. It's a pretty commonly known fact that Akiyama greases, he's been accused of it numerous times in Japan; it wasn't just that contest, there have been NUMEROUS incidents, and you know this as well as I do. He's a huge star over there, of course they're going to say it was "deemed to be unintentional" if you actually believe that excuse you're more delusional than Chael Sonnen. What about his head kick loss to whatever the fuck his name was back in the day as well, where they claimed he had a hand on the ground and overturned the KO, that wasn't bullshit as well, now was it?

Akiyama is just an overhyped MMA fighter that got special treatment in Japan, and is now being exposed for the lackluster fighter he is in the UFC. He's about to lose his 4th fight in a row, I can understand why you're a little bit upset. He got triangled by a gassed Leben...that pretty much sums up the fighter he is right there. Leben pulling off a submission is rare enough, but holy shit, that was pathetic on Akiyama's part. He should be on a 4 fight losing streak, but got a gift decision against Belcher; he'll actually lose his 4th fight in a row come Saturday.

Let's up the stakes; Shields wins, you never post in this section again. Akiyama wins, I'll honestly never post in this sub-forum again, and I'll give you 50fg as well.

e\ Going to sleep -- I don't live in Japan or North Vietnam like you most likely do; I'll read your retort in the morning.
