I doubt it, because first of all, it would take a lifetime to develope a defend against a top notch takedown like that. Also successfully defending that caliber of a takedown would force him to alter his style so much that his striking wouldn't be nearly as effective as has been.
To rap it all up, all I think Sonnen needs to do in a rematch is stay out of full guard, preferably staying in half guard, and I think the fight will go just like it did tonight, except Chael will win.
I really wanted to see a rematch but at the same time is it needed? Sonnen really is the anti Silva and he still lost , so do you just rematch again and hope Sonnen wins? It's sort of the situation with BJ Penn right now , he is clearly the better champion then Edgar but he lost to him. The best champions are able to overcome any situation , and while it was close that is what Silva did.
