Hah, I actually forgot Nunes lost. Sooo scratch that part about not being able to beat the current champ.

:D let's see how long she defends. I have a feeling nunes will be out for blood the first time around.
She just got done having her baby yada yada. She could've just had an off night.

Champions are only defined after their first loss. I can only respect the champs that come back and take that shit.

well said I guess she just couldn't handle the loss. It's not like she had an excuse lol. She was beaten fair and square. Too bad she didn't try for it a second time.

think shes just trying to find a way to be exciting/relevant. bring some kind of attention to the womens side, pretty sure rhonda return is never going to happen at this point

gah yea you're probably right. Too bad too. I would've really like to see a comeback match.
Not tomention the PPV buys on that could be through the roof and an easy money maker for the both of them

So much of being a champion at the level is mental. Tasting defeat and coming back stronger is something I love to see from a personal growth perspective in these champions. I think if Jon Jones would have tasted a real defeat (not that DQ bullshit) it would have helped him get his life straight before where we are today.

That’s debatable imo. Jon Jones decision to juice is not something a loss can teach imo. Sure, it could’be probably had him scratching his head, but what if a loss triggered the opposite effect?

Good point, I was only considering his criminal activities. The hit and run, drunk driving, assaults, etc.

Ah true. That behavior is a close cousin tbh.

When I think of Jon I think of three things: the perfect fighter’s build, a former heavyweight champ and sadly most of all… juice. People say he was sooo good but you come to wonder how many times he juiced and actually got away with it.
