but who made the most money and achieved the most fame

well u guessed it the dude with 0 defenses

cant argue he managed his career brilliantly

If this was for an option of which newest tech startup IPO to invest in those things would actually matter.

The whole list of guys there clearly managed their careers better based on the point of op's picture.

All of these men were/are better athletes and fighters than the entertainer. As per their track record.

Just as we don't measure a strongmans strength by his ability to get girls phone numbers.

We don't use a persons fame or bank account to measure their fighting prowess.

Or else Jeff Bezos is the greatest fighter of all time.

A lot of irony in this post, and unrelated metaphors that make ABSOLUTELY no sense.

Essentially what you're saying is the guys who fought more fights than Conor, while taking more damage and making a substantially lower amount of money managed their careers better? Interesting.

You and a lot of people seem to think title defenses are the only thing that matters, and the most important thing. If he defended his belt against 10+ bums would you still hold that same thought process?

Who cares that he dismantled Jose aldo with 1 punch, destroyed top tier fighters while making it look easy, put on exciting fights. none of that matters according to you guys because he "didnt defend a belt" lmao

Some backwards thinking. Conor managed his career better than anyone has in MMA.

Would defenses still matter? Lol ofc. Conor with 10+ defenses is easily the greatest of all time, but that's not how it went.

And ask , would Masvidal KO Askren again in 5 seconds? We needed that Aldo rematch, he fucked us out of it.

No one was stopping Conor at 145 except a stronger wrestler than chad mendes.

Conor would of beaten aldo again, maybe not in 13 seconds, but he would of destroyed him again.

My point im trying to make is a lot of you people weigh defenses as some sort of all or nothing idea, that if a fighter doesnt have defenses despite showing next level skills and cleaning out his division, he isnt good.

Its sillly

And the argument isnt if hes goat or not here, its who managed their career better. A fighter doesnt have to be the "goat" to recongize their skillset. Yet a lot of you dismiss his abilitites simply because you don't like his personality or he didn't defend belts. Any reason to hate.

lol at only capitalizing Conor. Aldo and Mendes are people as well.

Hell of a performance, but doesn't mean a thing when you retire in your prime.

Conor reminds me a lot of Barry Sanders/Calvin Johnson. When he did show up was about unstoppable. But for whatever reason, just didn't have the drive to finish off there careers as they started.
