I've signed my fair share of fight contracts my friend, none under the UFC though. Trained with quite a few former and current guys. My initial statement was in regards to the hundreds of fighters not on PPV cards (the only place my bum friends who bootleging the fights really makes a difference).
You're clearly more knowledgeable on everything from contracts/purses, the inner workings of the costs associated with coaches and managers and everything in-between based on the articles you read on sherdog, so I'll let you win this one.
If you do indeed have relevant experience, which I honestly doubt you have anything greater than sparring sessions you claim to your bum friends are “events”
Your fundamental lack of understand goes even deeper than just how the entertainment industry pays out its key and secondary and tertiary players in generating revenue.
You lack a fundamental understanding on how capitalism works and the role in you as the consumer versus the ufc versus the fighter in all of this.
You’re the guy who just started a job he has no experience in and week 1 is talking unionization and a salary more in line with the veterans of the place.
Sign your garbage contract and kiss Dana whites feet while you serve it out.
Win more than you lose and be a stand out while you do it, effectively increasing your stock value.
Re negotiate new, improved contract.
Rinse repeat.
You complaining while pretending to know first hand how this always has and always will work is completely useless. Much like the ufc feels about new, unproven fighters.
You’re welcome again,
Even as someone who claims personal experience you were just still not getting it.
