I agree with this. Unless you are going after or defending a title, you are progressing up or down a tier ladder until title shot worthy.

In my fighting experience, there was never a need for a rematch unless a title was involved.

Not everyone is going to fight for a title, but that doesn't mean there aren't scores to be settled or exciting fights to be had in rematches.

Dana gave Askren a former UFC champ(lawler) to show he was UFC caliber

they could put both Askren and Lawler on the same card against similar opponents

I'm not necessarily just talking about that fight, though its no secret im a big lawler fan and wouldn't complain if they did a rematch (Like dana seems to say is going to happen I might add)
