Not gonna sit here and act like I was watching mma when fedor was the shit cus I wasn't lol. But Liddell was the first guy I remember as a kid seeing on tv and everywhere and knowing "that's that mma fighter" and he got me to start watching fights. And I'm sure a shitload of people came in because of him.

He passed the test they took right after the fight. He failed one that was taken a month earlier out of competition. Which is why he threatened to sue, since that information shouldn't have been released let alone tested for.

People have been scamming drug tests for years (not that jones did but it can hardly be proven that he didnt either).

Either way, he took performance enhancing drugs just like silva.

Lol not one Vitor in this thread shows what you guys know about the history of mma. Royce, Anderson, and all of the other great brazilians made mma look like a cool sideshow for dudes who are kind of weird. Vitor made that entire country--arguably the greatest country in mma--see mma fighters as superstars.

Anderson used to talk about it in interviews all the time, it bothered him that Brazil wasn't that interested in him compared to Vitor. Obviously this all changed after they fought, but leading up to that fight Brazil was overwhelmingly behind Vitor.

The man created an entire generation of fighters.
