Then neither one of you have trained Jiu Jitsu a day in your life. It's not about turning out of it, it's about turning WITH it to alleviate pressure. Carwin looked baffled as to what was happening to him.

Please, enlighten me.

Go find Brock Lesnar, and get a video of you 'turning with it' to survive it.

carwin is a wrestler not jiu jitsu :) and its still a problem against a wrestler like brock, notice brocks leg position when it happened, carwin had no escape except to turn against it in a jerky motion, which could have killed him so he made the right choice

Brock is just to dominate, he's fast, strong, outstanding cardio.

Honestly if carwin wouldn't have gotten so tired that fight there is a good chance he could have won.

But for now Brock #1.

Brock Lesnar's 140LBS heavier than I am, way to take it out of context. Ill show you a video of me turning with a choke to get out of it against someone my own size. It's all relative.

Maybe not, but it's literally THE first thing they teach you in Jiu Jitsu. I dont understand how he could have a purple belt and not know that.

I feel like this sort of thing doesn't scale the same way.

Go gain 140 lbs

How do you figure? I could understand your reasoning if it was a fat 265lb vs a fit 265lb. These two men were hulking bunches of muscle. They were on par for strength (or, should have been close to)

Carwin was also seriously gassed.

I just feel like in the sense of two massive hulking men if one is tired and the other is less tired, it becomes significantly more difficult to maneuver

I'm not DISAGREEING with that, but he wasnt having "difficulties" maneuvering, he simply DIDNT maneuver at all, and that's what I'm saying made him look like a total novice on the ground. It goes to show Carwin must have gotten his Purple Belt at the YMCA.

As soon as lesnar got position the match was over. When you get gassed with that much muscle your body pretty much gives out.

I just think he was too exhausted and thought he could out last Brock in terms of holding the sub.

As stupid as that sounds.

We'll see.

Both will be better fighters
