The reigning Featherweight Champion of the world - Max “Blessed” Holloway

The “Blessed”one, aka Max Holloway. The origin of the name is quite fitting, Max (shortened from Maximilian) literally means “Greatest”. And it’s hard to argue we are not watching the greatest Featherweight in the history of the sport evolve directly in front of our very eyes.

At only 26 years of age it could be argued that Max hasn’t even reached his physical or mental peaks yet. But the young Hawaiian hasn’t let that stop him from amassing an amazing 12-fight winning streak.

During his reign of terror on the UFC’s 145-pound division he has dispatched Andre Fili and Cub Swanson via guillotine choke, and 7-more victims with some form of knockout. Including (T)KO victory’s over former Lightweight kingpin Anthony Pettis, and Featherweight legend Jose Aldo x2.

An overall professional MMA record of 19-3, (15-3 in the UFC) he stands at 5 ft 11 inches. Boasting a purple belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, but it’s his kick boxing that really shines. An avid video gamer, catch him streaming on twitch @BlessedMMA

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the current Featherweight Champion of the Wooorld!!!

The Challenger - Khabib “The Eagle” Nurmagomedov

Khabib Nurmagomedov. 25-0 as a professional mixed martial artist. Two time Combat Sambo World Champion. A freestyle wrestler with a Judo black belt. If you were going by resume alone, this man would likely be on top of the UFC’s pound for pound list.

But, you don’t fight on paper and your resume can only take you so far. Ever heard the term “reality bites”? Well in Khabib’s case, reality was like a hungry grizzly bear and he was a salmon just trying to swim upstream. “The Eagle” was plagued with a knee injury that kept him out of the octagon for over 2-years. Add to that issues cutting weight, and his religious belief’s that cause him to miss time during Ramadan, he has been far from the most active fighter on the roster.

With that said, you shouldn’t “hibernate” on Nurmagomedov. As most recent victims (Michael Johnson, Edson Barboza) have shown, being underneath the Dagestan native is about as much fun as getting your face pounded into hamburger meat. He is relentless with his pressure, and when he gets you down he doesn’t stop. Holding his most notable win over former UFC Lightweight champion, and current UFC Welterweight title contender Rafael Dos Anjos, a dominant unanimous decision at UFC on Fox 11.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I present to you the challenger for the Lightweight Champion of the Wooorld!!!

KHABIB NURMAGOMEDOV !!

UFC 223 Saturday April 7’th

*Had this 95% ready for Max/Ortega still had to finish a few things for Ortega’s side. Was just waiting till the fight to post. So if there are any errors or Khabib’s side feels less complete, it was written up in 45 min with little editing. Sorry!

No offense to Maximillian, but 145 finally got it's shit together. 155 is soooo close to getting back on track, I hope he gets whooped. Back to 145 and let Khabib clean up the mess at 155.

Im not too sure. I feel khabib is taking max lightly. He shouldn't do that unless its part of his mind game plan
