First off my background. I'm a 24 year old male who is 6 feet tall and who currently weighs 228lbs. I was a gym rat who 5 months ago decided to start practicing kickboxing/mma.

I had no combat experience prior to this training. I am being trained under former Team Tompkins fighter Sonny "The Mental Oriental" Leong.

I had one amateur kickboxing bout on December 3rd 2011. I had been training almost exactly four months.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCMhL3lsbes Here is a link to the video for those who want to see it. It isn't very impressive.

After this fight I have been decided to focus solely on kickboxing and only do mma/grappling if I feel like it.

This blog will for me to keep track of my training including my gym training. I won't post my diet here unless multiple people request me to.

I will also hopefully be able to get some people to video me sparring, training and even lifting if people want to see it.

Please, please, leave your criticism and advice out of my thread. I don't need walls of text telling me how to fight or train.

If you have any other questions about me, my training or my background feel free to ask.

I tracked too man, keep up the good work.
Got to see some really cool threads today, feeling pretty content with D2jsp :)
I'd like some videos of sparring sessions and training that'd be pretty cool.

You are 1000000% right... I had decent cardio for my first fight but it WAS SO &?"!( HARD lol Then I never wanted to have it hard like that again. My cardio for the second fight was SO good that I could do what I want. Seriously... cardio is the key !

Yeah, getting tired is the worst. You know what to do but can't muster the energy to do it. Super aggravating.

Got tired during my first time competing and decided I never wanted to feel like that again.

I don't do maxes for those anymore. I prefer to just lift normally.

I lift 6 days a week and don't miss ever. I go to kickboxing whenever I don't work, sometimes 5 days a week other times 2 days a week. Just depends on my schedule at work.

January 6th 2012

Did about 1 hour kickboxing training and two 5 minute rounds of sparring. Felt good, felt like my timing and my reactions are better.

Did a full chest bicep workout and 12 minutes of cardio.

Felt good, current weight 225lbs.
