So this thread is to address the following issues-

Refund or comp mechanics are important for those that don't catch an IP. Non refundable non guaranteed walks appear to be an issue to me. Do you agree?

My opinion is a mechanic for preventing abuse of the above comp is also important. Maybe max 1 comp per buyin, and users who repeatedly ask for comps wont get accepted in future runs especially if they start selling anni's or have anni's, but never own up to catching hot ip's.

Alternatively a mechanic where a walk group guarantees every paying customer minimum 1 hot ip would be better than comp. Enough of us have multiboxing abilities this doesn't seem that difficult to offer. If it takes a long time so be it don't set rigid walk times, instead get 63 people together who are willing to make sure everyone has a game before we walk. Users found with multiple anni's after a run, while not having offered to share their extra IP's don't get invited in future runs (if its a reoccurring offense, or they dont have an ailibi of which walks they caught their ip's in).

Hardcore and SC soj's should be acceptable imo. Most groups are SC only sojs, yet HC sojs are cheaper. Making sure a walk group has can sell both SC and HC sojs would be dope imo.

Mechanics like transparency to assure walkers that Admins aren't raking thousands of FG off the top of runs. One group I'm in does photos of extra SOJ's and keeps them accounted for which is awesome! Free walks etc are ok, and admin payments should be transparent imo. Admins do a shit ton of work so i believe them getting some compensation is ok. However, I also not to walk with groups that have vague "extra sojs go towards staff" clauses that leave it open to them keeping 30+sojs free on top of their anni's. If a walk only takes 80 sojs the walkers should get some type of return, not just the admins.

Other than the above issues I'm loving the organization and revival of D2! Especially clone hunting

I feel these issues can be dealt with inside of one of the existing reputable discord groups, or a new discord group can be started as well. The thread is intended to be about how a dclone hunting discord can ideally be ran, but it is not an attempt to discuss any specific discord or start one.

What are your thoughts?

full transparency on the runs is usually an issue. No comps from my point of view are not really an issue as long as it's stated before a buy in (unlike a run i was in last night and after the run i was put with the newly changed rule non announced of no refund ). It's nice to give people the choice to decide if they want to gamble their sojs or not, regardless the reason they join the runs. Also, i see no problem with organisers making profit, hell, it's alot of time putting together a run, and for sure can't be considered charity. But the biggest issue of them all.... leaking. But how do you adress that?

Issue is there are so many scumbags these days leaking ips and using virtual machines to get 5 games that its taking lobbies the full 2-3 hours to hit 85%. I personally wont be participating in more ip search style clone walks. Im gonna do parked games. I did a run tonight with a newer guy and I got jipped 2 soj. I was unaware he didnt comp participants a spot in next run like ive been use to in the other 5+ servers and 30+ walks i did. I told him i could prove i didnt find a game as I was streaming and his response was "well you could have multiple monitors", really....

So i 100% agree if the walk doesnt offer a refund or a comp in next run if you can prove to them you didnt get a walk then we should all avoid them. I got nothing for my 2k fg investment tonight. For now on like i said ill only be walking in parked game walks. To many scumbags in the walks lately. The sad thing is there was more then enough left over Soj from the mentioned walk to just refund or move over to next run. But greed seems to be a driving force surrounding alot of walks.
