yeah its a small chance to hit the ip u want. blocking helps increase the odds. with enough tries you should hit it tho, but this is why groups leave 2-3 hours... d clone hunting is often hours of looking for ips and holding games for 5 minutes of killing and a lifetime of pride over achieving anni
this is also why leaks and multibox fucks other people. when a server starts getting congested with a bunch of people holding games it actually gets less likely to land on that server if not outright impossible if it gets full
it was nice (offline / private servers) when d2nt or kolbot would hunt IPs for us and hold the game
this specific forum used to be people posting hot ips when they would see a soj sale in their game. it was much less organized. im sure there were private and organized walks too, but id hear of a hot IP, or an IP that was due to walk (could see on soj counter websites), and then plug an ip in and walk away. would be nice to come home to a game with dclone ready to spawn
having to manually search IP's is tedious and not for the faint of heart
for example i was in a walk yesterday and got lucky got an ip early. then my game crashed and i was unable to join before it was gone... searched more and got it again. walk got cancelled cuz of a leak so it was a few hours pretty much wasted
but it was good practice to get into it again. the discord organization stuff is really nice im diggin it excited to be hunting again
